On our first Tuesday rotation we were introduced to Ellen and to some new techniques in order to record something. She gave us some glossy papers and a pointy needle and she asked us to select an object around us and engrave it onto the paper’s surface. Then we have walked to a supply store; there I’ve bought my first “beginners” tools in order to make the same thing on my own.
The reason that it is colored is because I went on to the intaglio workshop in order to drypoint it.
Then I’ve made the same thing with my chosen subject was an old “Zoetrope” or “Wheel of Life” that I found particularly interesting when I visited the Childhood Museum.
